Alce Nero organic wholemeal biscuits are made using extra virgin olive oil and do not contain eggs, flavourings or fats of animal origin. They are also a source of fibre, zinc, magnesium, phosphorus and copper. The flour is made exclusively from organic wheat cultivated in Italy. This special formulation makes them perfect for a simple breakfast, without compromising on flavour.

Already known in ancient times, soft wheat was one of the first plants to be regularly grown by sedentary populations. It is an autumn-spring cereal, grown in Italy in accordance with organic farming regulations.

In terms of crop rotation, this cereal is generally inserted in rotation with legumes and cruciferous vegetables in order to add to the organic substances in the soil, boosting its fertility. Organic fertilisers are mainly used in the pre-sowing phase to heighten the properties of the soil, if necessary. The methods used to limit the development of weeds are false sowing and subsequent mechanical weeding by harrowing.
