The Black Organic Tea Alce Nero is a fine selection of tea from India’s plantations
Alce Nero organic black tea is a blend of highly selected black teas characterised by a profound, intense and pleasantly aromatic flavour. Black tea (Camellia Sinensis is the plant of origin) is the most widespread and well-known in the West. Alce Nero organic black tea is a refined selection of black tea from the southern India which preserves all the aroma and typical flavour of the plantation.
Camellia Sinensis, the plant from which the tea originates, is an evergreen shrub which is harvested for the first time in its third year. Young leaves are picked by hand, for the finest harvest. The leaves are dried and undergo a fermentation process which occurs in hot, humid facilities to facilitate certain biochemical processes within the leaves, enriching them with aromas and the typical dark colour (hence the name: black tea). The leaves are dried once more after fermentation.
It is recommended that black tea is infused for 3-5 minutes, but it is good to know that theine has beneficial qualities which can be measured out through careful preparation. The box contains 20 individually wrapped bags. The bags do not have a metal stapler pin and are 100% compostable.
