Alce Nero organic fine tomato purée is made from tomatoes grown in Italy.
Tomatoes are harvested in July, August and September and are processed to preserve their flavours, fragrance and nutritional properties. Tomatoes are selected, washed and steam skinned before being mashed, puréed and concentrated.
Alce Nero organic purée is free from additives and added salt.
It is our commitment to keep all legal information up to date, but you may find differences from the packaging actually available.
The tomatoes come from farms in Emilia Romagna.
In accordance with organic farming regulations, no synthetic chemical treatments are applied and nothing but organic fertiliser is used.
The harvested tomatoes are processed to preserve their flavours, fragrance and nutritional properties. Once washed, they are heated, peeled and puréed.
The purée is then concentrated, bottled and pasteurised to ensure stability over time and perfect conservation. The average Brix value for this product (a unit of measurement used to express its degree of sweetness) is between 8 and 10.
