The Alce Nero organic corn and Cappelli durum wheat cakes are made with Italian Cappelli durum wheat and corn.
The Alce Nero organic corn and Cappelli durum wheat cakes are prepared by adding durum Cappelli wheat to corn. Cappelli wheat is the historical variety of durum wheat that takes its name from the Abruzzese senator, promoter, at the beginning of the 20th century, of the agrarian reform that led to the distinction between hard and soft wheat. Grown in Italy, it is characterised by its intense fragrance and spikes up to one metre high ending in unmistakable black whiskers.
These biscuits are ideal to use as an alternative to bread or rusk for breakfast. They are also excellent slightly warmed.
