This product is made using 100% Italian, organic spinach, cultivated in areas of Italy which are most suited.
The distinctive trait of our spinach lies in the freezing process, using the "leaf by leaf" technique in order to maintain all the quality and flavour unaltered.

Narrative Label
Spinach (Spinacia oleracea) is a herbaceous plant of the Amaranthaceae family.
Spinach does not require particular conditions to grow. It doesn’t cope well with humidity and requires soil that is able to drain any excess water and quite a cool climate, so it is best to grow it in spring or autumn, although it can be grown year round.
Alce Nero spinach is harvested, washed, lightly cooked and frozen leaf by leaf, a technique that safeguards the integrity of every single spinach leaf that, in not being broken and/or pressed, retains its quality natural properties.
The frozen leaves are then packaged and transported to the warehouse, without ever interrupting the cold chain, another essential factor in order to maintain as much of the freshness of the natural product as possible.
Alce Nero pays great attention to the environmental sustainability of its products, by not only avoiding intensive farming and the use of chemical treatments, but also in choosing to use recyclable packaging.
The packaging of Alce Nero spinach is 100% recyclable and can be disposed of with paper waste.
